SafeAir was recommended to me by word of mouth, a client of mine who suffered indoor allergies like my husband for the last year. We could not find a source of black mold anywhere, but his symptoms suggested it was there. We checked the attic (nope), bought four air purifiers and kept fresh filters, we use hospital grade MERV filter in our furnace, we cleaned regularly. Nothing was helping. I knew it had to be in the HVAC system somewhere but wasn't sure who to call. I am so grateful I called SafeAir. They were upfront with their services, pricing, and scheduling. They were clear on instructions we could do to prepare ahead of time (move furniture from vents). They arrived in the estimated window given, and our 3 technicians were methodical and thorough. Their crew lead Brendon M was well trained and well-spoken. He could answer all questions we had, was honest about what he found, what options were available to address the problem, the cost, and any veteran/military discount available. Most importantly, they found the source of the black mold effecting my husband so badly. It was inside the furnace itself and blew spores through the house before being caught by our MERV filter. The work to clean out debris, sanitize the ducts, seal nicotine tar from previous owners, and finally install an anti mold UV light inside the furnace took 6 hours rather than the 2-4 estimated but that is on us. We asked for the UV light install towards the end to prevent the black mold from regrowing in a year, and we asked many questions and talked a lot with Brendon and his crew. We are extremely pleased with the service, and the best part: 10 days later, my husband's allergy symptoms are gone! It worked! Thank you so much from us both!

The filth and mold (both black and white in my HVAC is on me. Thanks to the work by SafeAir, no one in the household has a nagging cough anymore. My voice no longer sounds as if I was at a football game last night. Even the dogs eyes are no longer irritated (the veterinarian is impressed and asked for the name of your company). Technicians Arron and Logan advised me each step of the way. I SAW what was in MY system either personally or after they stuck their phone into the part they wanted me to see. So I know, 100%, that what I saw was in my system (not pictures from someone else's home so they could sell me more services). I did have to go with disinfection, but it's been worth it every day to have clean, indoor air. I've been spending my time deep cleaning every room to get anything airborne out of the textiles and upholstery. I will use this service again.

With years of experience, attentive professionals, advanced equipment, and dedication to customer satisfaction, we stand out as the ideal choice for maintaining a clean, healthy indoor environment for you and your family.

Our team of certified and experienced technicians are committed to providing high-quality air duct cleaning services. We follow industry standards to ensure thorough and effective cleaning. We are proud members of NADCA and have received numerous accolades for our outstanding service.

Our state-of-the-art negative pressure method combines vacuuming, high powered airlines, and agitation tools which provides a comprehensive solution for air duct cleaning. Our powerful 3,000-CFM negative air machine creates strong negative pressure throughout your HVAC system during cleaning, adhering to (Nadca ACR 2013 3.9.1) standards. Unlike companies using rotary brush systems without proper containment, our method prevents contaminant migration, ensuring all particulates are safely removed rather than redistributed in your home.

Our Process To Clean Your Ducts

Our proven process ensures a thorough and efficient removal of contaminants from your HVAC system.

Initial Inspection

We begin with a comprehensive inspection of your air duct system to assess buildup and check for leaks or damage. A before photo is taken.

Specialized Equipment

We use two 3,000 CFM H.E.P.A. vacuuming units for powerful suction. This method is more effective and environmentally friendly than using truck-mounted vacuums. We create access points in the main trunk lines and seal all the vents to establish negative pressure throughout the system.

Cleaning Process

Called Source Removal, we use 175 PSI air whips; we dislodge debris in all accessible parts of your ductwork. Our high-powered vacuum removes loosened contaminants, preventing re-entry into your living space. We clean both supply and return mainlines, as well as all accessible vents and registers.

Furnace Component Cleaning

We clean the air handler, filter box, and plenum to clean your entire HVAC system thoroughly.

Final Steps & Approval

We seal all access points using metal patches, screws, and aluminum foil tape. A final inspection ensures the system is clean and functioning correctly before we turn it back on and verify its operation.

Optional Treatments

For specific concerns, we offer an optional non-caustic water-based fogging treatment, adding a sanitization step using EPA-registered disinfectant to eliminate remaining bacteria or microorganisms.

We also offer blower cleaning – ask us for details on your quote request.

FAQs About Getting Ducts Cleaned

Common questions to ask to find the best HVAC Air Duct Cleaners for your home.

Yes, we do. ACR 2013 (Assessment, Cleaning, and Restoration of HVAC Systems) is the industry standard established by NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) and recommended by the EPA for proper HVAC cleaning. It’s crucial for consumers because it ensures a thorough, safe, and effective cleaning process. Companies following ACR 2013 use proper techniques like maintaining negative air pressure, cleaning the entire system, including components like coils and blower motors, and avoiding harmful chemicals.

No, professional air duct cleaning companies prevent dust from escaping into your home by using negative pressure containment to keep particles inside the system and high-powered vacuums running multi-stage HEPA filtration to thoroughly filter out contaminants

The duct cleaning process typically takes about two to four hours for a single AC system with 2-3 technicians and up to a full day for complex systems.

Yes, a few simple steps can help ensure an efficient cleaning process and allow our technicians to work efficiently and thoroughly, minimizing disruption to your home.

  • Clear the Path Around Your Ducts: Remove obstacles near vents and HVAC components.
  • Keep Pets Safe and Sound: Secure pets in a separate area.
  • Protect Fragile Treasures: Cover or move delicate items near vents.
  • Power Down Your HVAC System: Turn off your system before our arrival.
  • Ensure Easy Access Points: Make sure all vents and access points are unobstructed.
  • Share Special Requirements & Concerns: Inform us of any specific issues or sensitivities.
  • Prepare for Noise & Minimal Disruption: Expect some noise from our equipment during cleaning.

Many homeowners opt for vent cleaning services out of personal preference when they notice:

  • Air filters become clogged quickly
  • Inconsistent airflow in different rooms
  • Furniture becomes dusty shortly after cleaning
  • Worsening allergy symptoms while at home

Regular maintenance services like air duct cleaning can prevent dirty air from circulating throughout your home, reducing allergens and pollutants. If you’ve recently moved into a new home, scheduling a professional duct cleaning is a great way to start fresh with cleaner indoor air.

According to an EPA 608 universal certified HVAC tech and NADCA certified professional, these are the situations where home ventilation cleaning is officially recommended:

  • Visible mold growth inside the ductwork or HVAC system components
  • Pest infestations or history of (rodents & insects) in the ducts
  • Excessive dust, debris, or particles clogging ducts and being released into the home
  • After home renovations that introduced debris into the ductwork
  • When previous owners had pets, and the new owner has allergies
  • The presence of immune-compromised individuals in the home that could benefit from cleaning and UV sanitation

However, the EPA notes that regular duct cleaning is unnecessary, and HVAC professionals state it is typically only needed every 3-7 years, depending on specific circumstances.

We believe in clear pricing that reflects the time and effort required for a thorough cleaning. According to NADCA and the EPA, the national average for a single system is between $400 to $1,000. Our goal is to balance fair compensation for our skilled technicians with competitive pricing for our customers, ensuring you receive high-quality service at a reasonable cost.

Our standard service typically involves a crew of 2-3 certified technicians spending 2-4 hours at your home. Our customer-friendly pricing is set to what is reasonable for this level of expertise and thoroughness, without compromising on quality or cutting corners.

Several factors can influence the total cost:

  • The number of new access panels / service openings required + their closure with proper gauge steel and screws.
  • Difficult-to-reach ductwork, such as in attics, extends the service duration.
  • HVAC system size – Qty of vents, returns, and mainlines
