What Does Air Duct Cleaning in Edwardsville Include?

An Edwardsville duct cleaning covers the supply ducts, the return ducts, the main trunk lines, the branch runs, the supply registers, the return grilles, and the air handler and blower.

Cleaning part of a system and leaving the rest just moves the problem. Debris left sitting in an untouched return finds its way straight back into the runs you paid to have cleared.

Every job ends with photographs taken inside the system, before and after, so what came out is something you can look at rather than something you are told about.

What Comes Out of an Edwardsville Duct System?

Photographs from Edwardsville jobs show what a system is really holding: settled dust, pet hair, drywall fines left over from remodelling and, in the older properties, a layer that has never once been disturbed.

SafeAir was recommended to me by word of mouth, a client of mine who suffered indoor allergies like my husband for the last year. We could not find a source of black mold anywhere, but his symptoms suggested it was there. We checked the attic (nope), bought four air purifiers and kept fresh filters, we use hospital grade MERV filter in our furnace, we cleaned regularly. Nothing was helping. I knew it had to be in the HVAC system somewhere but wasn't sure who to call. I am so grateful I called SafeAir. They were upfront with their services, pricing, and scheduling. They were clear on instructions we could do to prepare ahead of time (move furniture from vents). They arrived in the estimated window given, and our 3 technicians were methodical and thorough. Their crew lead Brendon M was well trained and well-spoken. He could answer all questions we had, was honest about what he found, what options were available to address the problem, the cost, and any veteran/military discount available. Most importantly, they found the source of the black mold effecting my husband so badly. It was inside the furnace itself and blew spores through the house before being caught by our MERV filter. The work to clean out debris, sanitize the ducts, seal nicotine tar from previous owners, and finally install an anti mold UV light inside the furnace took 6 hours rather than the 2-4 estimated but that is on us. We asked for the UV light install towards the end to prevent the black mold from regrowing in a year, and we asked many questions and talked a lot with Brendon and his crew. We are extremely pleased with the service, and the best part: 10 days later, my husband's allergy symptoms are gone! It worked! Thank you so much from us both!

The filth and mold (both black and white in my HVAC is on me. Thanks to the work by SafeAir, no one in the household has a nagging cough anymore. My voice no longer sounds as if I was at a football game last night. Even the dogs eyes are no longer irritated (the veterinarian is impressed and asked for the name of your company). Technicians Arron and Logan advised me each step of the way. I SAW what was in MY system either personally or after they stuck their phone into the part they wanted me to see. So I know, 100%, that what I saw was in my system (not pictures from someone else's home so they could sell me more services). I did have to go with disinfection, but it's been worth it every day to have clean, indoor air. I've been spending my time deep cleaning every room to get anything airborne out of the textiles and upholstery. I will use this service again.

Brandon did an excellent job. He called to let me know he was on the way. Arrived early. Walked me thru house as he counted all vents. Kept me informed of progress. Sent me before and after pictures. And, left absolutely no mess. Pleasure to have him

What Does Residential Duct Cleaning Cover in Edwardsville?

Residential duct cleaning in Edwardsville covers every reachable supply and return run, the trunk lines, the registers and the blower assembly, priced per HVAC system rather than per property.

Our detailed air vent cleaning process leaves your ducts, vents, and HVAC system 100% clean.

  • 3,000 CFM negative air held on the system for the whole visit, not only while the brush is running
  • 175 PSI air whips worked through every reachable run, so material is lifted out rather than smeared along
  • Photographs at each stage, which on a let property gives the owner something to keep on file

Many companies advertise “air duct cleaning,” but the truth is that your entire HVAC system needs attention. Clean half a system and the untouched half reloads the half you paid for, usually within weeks. That’s why we clean every part of the system, including:

  • Supply ducts
  • Return ducts
  • Main trunk lines
  • Branch lines
  • Supply registers
  • Return air grilles
  • Air Plenum & Blower

With SafeAir’s professional house vent cleaning services, Edwardsville owners and landlords can expect:

  • Extended lifespan of your HVAC system
  • Relief from allergy or asthma symptoms
  • Cleaner surfaces with less dust accumulation
  • Improved HVAC efficiency and airflow
  • Elimination of musty odors from mold or bacteria
  • A healthier, more comfortable home environment

Dirty Dryer Vent

Why Do Edwardsville Dryer Vents Need Cleaning?

Dryer vents matter more than usual in Edwardsville because so much of the housing is let. A vent that has served four sets of tenants without once being opened is the one that packs solid, and the tenant who finally reports slow drying is rarely the one who caused it.

  • Eliminates fire hazards by removing flammable lint accumulation
  • Improves dryer efficiency, potentially lowering energy bills
  • Reduces drying times, saving you time and energy
  • Removes musty odors caused by trapped moisture and debris
  • Extends the life of your dryer, avoiding premature replacements

Who Cleans Rental and Commercial Ductwork in Edwardsville?

SafeAir Duct Care cleans rental units, multi-tenant buildings and commercial premises across Edwardsville. With the university enrolling 12,813 students in autumn 2025, a large share of this town’s housing turns over on an academic calendar rather than a property one.

That makes duct and dryer vent cleaning a turnover job here in a way it simply is not elsewhere. A landlord running several units can have them all done in one visit, which costs less per unit and is far easier to fit between tenancies.

Where a unit has to be ready for a fixed handover date we will work to that window rather than a standard working day. Tell us how many units and when they need to be clear.

Commercial Air Duct Cleaning Job

What Else Is Worth Doing While We Are On Site?

Most Edwardsville jobs are a straight duct clean. These are the three add-ons worth knowing about, and we will tell you on the day whether the system in front of us needs any of them.

Air Duct Mold Remediation

Older Edwardsville basements and slow-drying crawl spaces are where this turns up. If growth has taken hold on the coil or in the returns, a clean on its own will not hold, and we would rather tell you that than take the money for one.

UV Light Installation

A UV lamp at the air handler keeps the coil from re-growing between cleans. It runs off an existing outlet, so on most Edwardsville systems it is done during the same visit rather than a second appointment.

Air Duct Sanitizing

Applied after the system is clean, using an EPA-registered product. Sensible where ductwork has held mould or odour and particularly worth it on a unit changing hands. Skip it on a system that was only dusty.

SafeAir Duct Care Service Van

Why Choose SafeAir?

Why Do Edwardsville Homeowners Choose SafeAir?

Edwardsville homeowners and landlords choose SafeAir because duct and dryer vent cleaning is the whole of what we do. Nobody arriving at your property is an HVAC salesperson with a vacuum in the van.

Family owned and working this region since 2002. Most of what we do in Madison County comes from repeat customers and from landlords who call us back, which only happens when the first visit was straight with them.

Our technicians are employed by us and NADCA certified. We do not subcontract, so the people who quoted the job are the people standing in your basement doing it.

We run a Hypervac 3,000-CFM negative air machine that keeps the system under negative pressure throughout. Debris leaves the property rather than resettling in the next room along.

Unlike companies that use outdated rotary brush systems without proper containment, our method prevents contaminants escaping into your Edwardsville property. What we dislodge is captured and carried out of the property rather than pushed around inside it.

Technicians here are on hourly pay rather than commission. There is no financial reason for anyone on the crew to recommend a service the system does not need.

Certification is not a badge for the van. It sets what a clean has to achieve before anyone calls it finished, and it is the standard we get measured against.

Members of NADCA

Why Hire A NADCA Member?

Membership is not decoration for the side of a van. It sets what a clean has to achieve before anyone can call it finished, which gives you a published standard to hold us to rather than only our word for it.

Why Does Edwardsville Have Two Duct Cleaning Markets?

Edwardsville is not one market. It is an old county town with a university attached, and the two halves behave nothing alike.

The town was incorporated in 1818, making it the third oldest in Illinois, and the housing stock shows it. LeClaire on its own is a 200-acre historic district built between 1890 and 1895, so it is not merely old, it is a whole neighbourhood laid down inside a five-year window. Systems on those streets tend to be the same age and to develop the same faults in the same season.

  • Retrofit ductwork. Houses built in the 1890s had no central heating to design around, so the runs were threaded in decades later through whatever space happened to exist.
  • Whole-street vintage. When a district goes up in five years its heating systems age together, so neighbours frequently need the same work in the same season.

The other Edwardsville is the rental town. The university enrolled 12,813 students in autumn 2025, of whom 9,925 were undergraduates, which is a very large rental sector for a town this size.

That gives Edwardsville a body of housing whose ductwork is cleaned when a landlord decides rather than when an occupant notices. Landlord and multi-unit work sits under commercial air duct cleaning, with the vent side under commercial dryer vent cleaning.

What Makes the SIUE Rental Market Different?

  • Annual turnover. Tenancies run to an academic year, so units change hands in a narrow summer window and the work has to fit inside it.
  • Nobody’s own home. A let unit gets its ducts cleaned when the owner decides, not when the person living there notices, which is why so many go years untouched.
  • Several units, one owner. Landlords with a handful of properties can have them all done on one visit, which brings the cost per unit down considerably.
  • Shared dryer vents. Multi-unit buildings often run long or shared exhaust routes that no single tenant considers their responsibility, and those are the ones that pack solid.

What Does Duct Cleaning Cost in Edwardsville?

Duct cleaning in Edwardsville is priced per HVAC system rather than per property. A single-system house and a single-system rental unit come out much the same regardless of floor area.

We put the numbers in writing rather than making you ring for them. The regional cost breakdown covers the ranges and the usual add-ons. Quoting several rental units at once? Tell us how many and we price the visit, not each unit separately.

The thing worth knowing in Edwardsville is that age matters more than size. A century-old house on one system frequently holds more than a newer property twice its floor area.

FAQs About Getting Your Ducts Cleaned

A single-system Edwardsville property takes two to four hours with a crew of two to three technicians. A larger house on multiple systems can take most of a working day, which is why we ask how many air handlers before quoting.

Most Edwardsville bookings follow a remodel, a change of tenancy, or dust settling again within days of the house being cleaned. Some common indicators include:

  • A filter that looks grey a month after it went in
  • Surfaces dusty again within days of the property being cleaned
  • Symptoms that ease when you leave and return when you are back inside
  • Any recent building work, since drywall fines travel straight into the returns
  • Grey edging forming around the supply registers
  • Burning or musty odors when the furnace or AC first runs

Industry figures from NADCA and the EPA place a single-system clean between $400 and $1,000 nationally. Edwardsville sits across that range, with older properties tending toward the upper end because there is simply more in the system to remove.

  • Before we visit: Give us the air handler count and roughly the build year and we can put a realistic range to it over the phone.
  • On arrival: The technician checks what is actually there, confirms the figure, and only starts once you have agreed it.

Three things move an Edwardsville quote:

  1. How many systems are involved. Each air handler is cleaned and priced on its own, whether that is one house or four rental units booked together.
  2. Whether the runs are reachable. Ductwork boxed into a finished basement can need service openings cut and then closed again in matching gauge steel, which adds to the day.
  3. The age of the system. Older Edwardsville properties usually hold more, and removing it properly takes longer.

Tell us roughly when the property was built and how many air handlers it runs. In Edwardsville those two answers between them decide the price.
